Where is your production facility?

We are 90-100% organic and support our local farmers as much as possible.
Since we live in a city where winter takes up half of the year, we must rely on our global community for some of our ingredients. GudJuice takes great pride in choosing organic, fair trade, and sustainable methods of agriculture. We also appreciate the support and friendship of our farmers as we make efforts to change our food system together.

What do I need to do to prepare for my cleanse?

2-3 days before the cleanse
  • Drink a lot of water—we recommend at least 64 oz. a day.
  • Eliminate caffeine (coffee and tea), alcohol and soda. (If you’re worried about caffeine withdrawal, have a half a cup of tea or coffee, and drink an extra glass of water).
  • Avoid meat, poultry, eggs, dairy, white starches (flour and bread), and sugar.
  • Eat vegetables, fruits, and whole grains.
  • Add a little cooked fish if you need extra protein.
  • Make sure you get plenty of rest—go to bed as early as you can, and try to squeeze in a nap if you can.
  • Try to keep your schedule clear so you can devote this time to taking the best possible care of yourself.
During your cleanse
As your body is re-balancing itself and getting used to all of the nutrients you are providing it, you might experience some discomfort in the form of headaches or lightheadedness. Non-caffeinated herbal teas are very soothing. If you are feeling very hungry, you can have a salad or vegetable broth. Remember to continue to drinking water and to get plenty of rest.

After your cleanse
We recommend that you break your cleanse by eating three small vegetable and fruit-based meals the following day (and one of these meals should be liquid, like a smoothie). Add in whole grains the second day after your cleanse, and then slowly re-introduce animal protein and dairy (if you eat them). After experiencing the good feeling of a cleanse, you most likely won’t want to go back to your old habits.
